I believe, human beings change and develop throughout their life span.
In almost 25 years of practicing psychotherapy, I have come to view most emotional symptoms and all relationship crises as opportunities for re-engaging aspects of self-development.
I was educated in Germany and the US. My professional background ranges from work in traditional clinical settings to being a staff therapist and group facilitator at the Esalen Institute.
I've had extensive training in psycho-dynamic, family systems, cognitive, Gestalt, somatic, and mindfulness-oriented modalities of psychotherapy, and will apply insights and "tools of these trades" in our work together.
My approach is sensitive, empathic, and respectful, but also straightforward and direct. As you begin to explore and tell me about yourself, I will give you my well-considered and honest feedback . And if you have misplaced your sense of humor, I will help you get it back ;).
